As an art historian and curator I am qualified and eager to guide
your exploration of the Berlin art scene. Berlin has over 350 galleries
and 20,000 artists. I have followed the evolution of established
artists and watched the growth of young artists for more than 20
On the basis of my first hand knowledge of the contemporary art
world and of the many contacts I have developed over the years,
I help art enthusiasts, collectors, and future collectors connect
with gallery owners and artists.
As your consultant, I will pay close attention to the type of art
that appeals your imagination and, if applicable, to your investment
strategy. Studio and gallery visits will be planned with your tastes
in mind. Hopefully I will play a part in helping you establish or
add to your collection.
My intention is to guide you artistically as well as financially.
Artists who are at one moment only known to a few insiders can suddenly
exhibit at major museums. Works by Anselm Reyle, Neo Rauch, or
Luc Tuymans – whose work I have followed over the years – have become
extremely valuable in a short time.
Before founding GoArt! in 2006, I worked as a gallery manager
in Berlin for many years, curated countless exhibitions in and out
of Berlin and was a freelance art journalist. I also served as a
curator to such international artist programs / art institutions
as ZKM Karlsruhe, Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart, Künstlerhaus Bethanien
or Allianz Kulturstiftung. Working with curators such as Peter Weibel
or Christoph Tannert, Catherine David and Rudolf Frieling I arranged
contemporary art shows. The now acclaimed Robin Rhode, Chiharu Shiota,
Maja Bajevic, Mircea Kantor or Marc Bijl are artists whom I worked
with and partially represented in the context of an exchange program
with Eastern Europe.
If you are interested in expanding or even starting a private art
collection or if you are just eager to witness the work of exciting
and innovative artists, I can guide you through galleries and studios
selected to meet your interests.
I have been recommended as a guide specializing in the works of
established and aspiring artists by The National Geographic, Michelin,
Baedecker, The New York Times, and Vogue.
